TOWNSEND OIL & PROPANE GIVES BACK TO OUR COMMUNITIES

Danvers, MA - November 16, 2011 - Townsend Oil & Propane is giving back to local communities through two fundraisers that will brighten the holidays for our neighbors in need.

Toys for Tots

We are collecting "Toys for Tots" here at our Danvers office, 27 Cherry Street, from now until December 9, 2011. Please bring new, unwrapped toys to our headquarters from Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

The mission of what is officially known as the "U.S. Marine Corps. Reserve Toys for Tots Program," is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. Jolly Jaunt

Townsend Oil & Propane employees are participating in the Jolly Jaunt 5K walk/run to benefit the Special Olympics of Massachusetts, on December 4, starting from Beverly Hospital at Danvers. Our efforts will help fund programs that allow individuals with intellectual disabilities live a happier, healthier life through sports. Our recruitment goal is 24 team members and our fundraising goal is $1,500.00.
