Choose Automatic Delivery and You're Insured!
Free Pollution Coverage for Automatic Delivery Customers
Releases from residential Oilheat storage tanks and systems are extremely rare, but it's good to have your home fully protected. Townsend is proud to offer valuable Comfort Heat Plus™, a new home insurance extension that provides
up to $400,000 in pollution coverage at no cost to you.

This coverage is available to select customers who meet two criteria:
- You must purchase all your Oilheat from Townsend by automatic delivery.
- The oil line that connects the oil tank to the oil burner must be in compliance with the new Massachusetts oil line law.
When you meet these criteria,
Townsend will name you as an additional insured on our Comfort Heat Plus™ master policy. In the event of a release, you will have $100,000 coverage against damage to your home (first-party coverage) and $300,000 against damage beyond your property (third-party coverage).
Coverage like this is not available from most Oilheat dealers.
Townsend is part of a select group of companies that have their insurance with Energi Insurance Services. We extend this coverage at no cost because it is an excellent added benefit for our valued customers.
Once we add your name to our master policy for Comfort Heat Plus,
your coverage will remain in effect as long as you continue to choose Townsend automatic delivery for all your Oilheat needs. You may also purchase similar coverage from your home insurer as a policy rider. We recommend that you consult your home insurance agent for advice on whether you need a pollution coverage rider in addition to Comfort Heat Plus™. In the event of a claim, your Comfort Heat Plus™ policy will cover you above and beyond your homeowner's coverage, if you have the pollution rider.
If you sell your home, the Comfort Heat Plus™ coverage is not transferable to the new owner. Should the new owner choose Townsend automatic delivery for all their Oilheat needs, we would most likely extend them the same coverage.
To find out whether you are in compliance with the Massachusetts oil line law, please call us. If you are not in compliance now,
you have until September 30, 2011 to bring your line up to code. The law requires homeowners to complete an installation of either an oil safety valve or an oil supply line with protective sleeve on systems that do not currently have these devices. Townsend can perform the necessary work in one brief service visit.
